Below is a selection of drawings that I made between 2005 – 2010
During this period I used various drawing and painting materials next to each other. On large format drawing paper I combined charcoal, pastel, lacquer paint, spraycan, adhesive plastic and paper collages. This often resulted in a collage of various character styles and visual languages within a figurative image. The different parts that make up the image were expressed in their own medium.
For me this was the expression of the used discursive language at that time. Different stories in different languages clashed in one frame.
